Asoka - அசோகா அல்வா


U need:

1.Moong dal-1 cup

2.Sugar-4cups

3.Ghee-1cup

4.Orange red color powder-a pinch

5.Cardamom-5nos

6.Cashew nuts

Method Of PreParation:

1.Cook well the dal in cooker and mash it.

2.In a heavy bottomed Kadai, heat the ghee and fry cashew nuts.

3.Add cooked moong dal, orange red color mixed in water.

4.Stir well for sometime.

5.Then add sugar as per your taste.

6.When the sugar is melted start adding the ghee little by little.

7.Add powdered cardamom.

8.Stir well untill it comes to halwa consistency.

9.For better taste..serve it hot.
